Got to spend some time yesterday hangin’ new signs!

A dishwasher follow-up post is in order…
When the repair guy came and inspected under the dishwasher for the cause of the leak, he found that everything was fine under there. He then took things apart inside, and he found that a rubber gasket had not been placed correctly.
I never suspected that I might have caused that leak–but it was me (hard as it is to admit!). About 3-4 weeks ago, I had to get a noisy cherry pit out of the bottom of the dishwasher–down by the blade, and apparently I didn’t get it back together right!
So it was an easy fix for him, and the dishwasher works again… and it’s quiet again… and the damage claim against the company is off… and I will be fixing the floor!
On a brighter note, I did get quite a few responses to my Dishwasher Survey.
Here are the results:
Thanks to everyone who took the survey!
A few days ago our neighbors on the west side came to our door to tell us about a swarm of bees that had just adopted one of our Fir trees. They had seen them come swarming in like a giant cloud.
The mass of bees, all clutching each other, is probably 18-20″ in length! There must be thousands of them.
It was hard to get a clear picture of them because of the branches all around, but here are a couple taken form directly below.
The queen is no doubt inside. Even rain during the night did not cause them to leave! Our neighbor has called a co-worker whose husband is a beekeeper. Until he comes, we still get to marvel at the sight!
