Deep Snow in Dundee (one more picture!)

dundeep

I have great memories of the deep snow we got in this area in 1968. I was seven years old at the time, so it made a big impression on me!

Since I have wished we would get something like it every year since then, the 14″ of snow we got a few days ago was like a dream come true! It’s kind of like the Blazers Championship… happened once a long time ago (1977)… was great… was a very long time ago… was great… etc. Over the years you begin to wonder if it will ever happen again!

Even with the yard clean up we must now do (from the fallen tree), the pain of tire chains, canceled events and worship services, and also that I now have a really sore wrist from slipping on the ice, I will remember this fondly; just as I as I did the one that came when I was seven. In another 40 years –  if it waits that long again — I’ll be 87!

It’s something I will definitely look forward to!

Sunset yesterday

Did you see the sunset last night?

It was Austin…

Rock Hat

Here’s a pic of Deanne and me near Hat Rock. Deanne is admiring my stylin’ rock hat!

This photo also shows my bare face. My brother Dennis gave me a haircut, and when he was done, my “goatee” of many years was gone too!

OK, here’s the real picture:
