Clean phone!

This cell phone (owned by an un-named person at this address) went through the washing machine AND the dryer!

Believe it or not… it still works!!!

Yard Work

Having a side job has it’s pros and cons. The main thing is that job number two has to be worked in the evenings and/or weekends. This can present a dilemma, because those are also the times a person is supposed to “unwind” from job number one! That is what happened today. I had a bunch of work to do… for job number two… and deadlines approaching… and a Gorgeous Spring day that was begging me to come outside. What to do?

I went outside.

Today I found a new meaning for the term “yard work”!

Maybe not!

Maybe spring is NOT coming yet! Today we had the most amazing hail storm I can remember (close to 1 inch!)! And the temp is 32 so it is sticking around 2 hours later! I grabbed the camera to record the mayhem and aftermath…

Spring IS coming!

This proves that we DID have sunshine yesterday. It snowed again, with strong winds, right after I took this picture! Kind of a surreal weather day. (I can’t wait for more warm sunshine…)

Snow on spring break!

I took the day off yesterday, and spent the whole day in the yard. I mowed, spread bark dust, and pruned—all day. Yes, it rained quite a bit of the time! It was a really full, fun and stress releasing day.

When I woke up today—SNOW! (Even the tin man in the toy firetruck enjoyed it!)

Moons

While this was going on outside:

Lucille (my mother-in-law) and I were inside working on this:

Yes. It’s a puzzle of the moon. We started on this a few days ago, and we have worked on it together for a while after dinner each evening this week. She brought it home from the Senior Center, and it’s GOT to be the hardest puzzle I’ve ever done. It’s all shades of bluish gray, as you can see. We have to use the magnifying glass to read the names of the craters, mountains and seas, and then find them on the lid (even smaller!) to find where they go.
Lucy and I like doing it (believe it or not!), and we are determined to finish it, but its S-L-O-W!
