Hi! My name is Michael Comfort. I was born in Costa Rica, where my missionary parents were studying Spanish. My three brothers and I spent most of our adventurous childhood in Bolivia. Part of it was in the jungle town of Caranavi, and the other part in the city of La Paz (13,000 ft). Since I was 12, I’ve lived mostly in Newberg and Dundee, Oregon (I left and came back several times).
I am an 8th generation Quaker, and follower of Jesus.
I’ve been a graphic designer for over 20 years. My day job is at Vineyard Graphics, where I have been for over 13 years. I also work part-time (at home, nights and/or weekends) for MeadowLand
Corporation, designing grass seed packaging, etc. I am thankful I can support my family doing what I love.

- I used to have Phalacrophobia, but I don’t anymore.

An update to this Bio…
While some in our family were laughing about the fears I listed, Alison’s bright comment was that “glossophobia” actually fits “the fear of going bald” better!
Your first home in Bolivia was at Hacienda Copajira, and then near the community of Amacari on the shore of Lake Titicaca at a remote part of a peninsula which borders Peru.
Oh, That’s right! I left those out of my bio, probably because I have no memories of those places (except for the pictures i’ve seen:). My earliest memories are from Caranavi, so I forget to mention the ones before that.
