I got to make our VBS banner again this year. Many thanks to Deanne helping me paint it!
Click on the thumbnails below to see the process…
- Projecting it on the wall. The file is a PDF, and the final width is 7 feet.
- Deanne tracing the projected image.
- Deanne – painting with tempera paints.
- Me painting.
- Making progress!
- Painting completed… now it needs to dry.
- Excess paper cut off.
- The backing is made with foamcore, packaging tape, pipe cleaners and glue.
- Hanging the banner!
- Hanging it up.
- Done!
- The view from the balcony. I hope it stays up!

Sweet job!

Awesome! It’ll be fun to see it in person.
Thanks! It was fun to do this.
Hi Mike- this will be a duplicate comment, as I just hit “submit” on a different page and then realized it was for a post that is 4 years old! Anyway, I did get your comment on our blog and would be glad to connect with you by email if you’d like to hear some Ramsy stories. I’m at sfunruh@gmail.com
