Ugh! I was coming home from my Isaiah pick up at that time. Of course I went sunnycrest-fox farm, but it was a complete stop in front of chan’s. I ended up going up and around to get home. What a disaster! I kept wondering if 1. they couldn’t have chosen a different day (friday’s always horrible on its own) and 2. do they know the traffic is backed up for literally miles. Getting back to our usual bottleneck is going to feel nice.
It was crazy. I headed into Mac and the north bound traffic was backed up more than I had ever seen it. The wait had to be an hour. On my way home I cut out at Pihl (although by then the back up was gone by small views along the way) because I had time constraints. Yey, our regular ‘back up’ is easy (if you know the ways around it).
It ws the longest I have seen it too! I had the same thought as you Misty, that they could definitely have picked a better day than Friday to make this kind of disruption!
I was on my way to take a picture for Friendsview, so I happened to have the camera ready. Then I had an appointment in Mac, so I got to see it the other way too!
I’m glad we went through on Thursday evening. It was still a pain then, though, which I found odd. The backup on the ‘berg side was at least 1/2mi before the merge signs (which are 1000ft before the merge itself).

Yes, we feel for you.
