A Coyote Sighting

I was up in the Red Hills of Dundee yesterday, not far from where we live, when I came upon some wildlife!

Hey! A coyote!

Hey! A coyote!

Kind of a young one, and not afraid of me...

Whoa! He's after something!

Whoa! He's after something!

Rats. Missed it.

Rats. Missed it.

He even came closer to me...

He came even closer…

...and closer!

…and closer!

Another pounce! Missed again. It's going to take a while...

Then he headed off to the north. Still lookin' to catch a critter...

Hey there’s Twin Rocks! Oh, wait…

This past summer we walked by this paper box in front of the Lincoln City Goodwill store.

Since 1996 I have done publicity work for Twin Rocks Friends Camp, and have seen hundreds of pictures of these two rocks, so the flop was obvious to me right away.

In my mind, these rocks only represent TRFC, so I am always surprised to see them in other contexts (flopped or not!).

On a related note… here is a die-cut brochure I designed for the camp this year. This is the first “general” camp brochure they’ve had, that isn’t directly related to our own Friends-related summer camps. It is being used to promote the camp to other guest groups like church groups, schools, and other organizations.

trfc1The three inserts can be used independently, or they can be tucked into the brochure–changing the sky behind the The Rocks!
