This sign was on the restroom at the campground we went to last weekend. I don’t know… I just thought it was an interesting combination.

We (Deanne, her mother Lucille, Austin and I) went camping at Pacific City over the weekend. We had frost on Friday night, and clear blue skies most of the time. Good times! Here are some photos of the weekend…
- The four of us on the beach north of Pacific City.
- Deanne on a sand dune.
- Deanne and I on the Pacific Mist Trail.
- Deanne and her mother, Lucille.
- Me, on a walk through the sunny woods.
- Austin feeding one of the many rabbits in the campground.
- Austin driving on the beach!
- Lots of rabbits!
- Deer in the campground.
- A great blue heron, looking for its seafood lunch!
- Cool to see a pelican this close up!
- Too late… there were 3 raccoons looking at us while we sat around the campfire! Really!
- A dory going out to sea, at Pacific City.

I don’t often get personal packages here at work, but just a little while ago I got THREE very different ones in the span of about 15 minutes!
The first one (by UPS) took me totally by surprise! It is a gift from a client of mine, Rugged Country Plants — ten plugs of Castilleja miniata (Scarlet Indian Paintbrush!). They wanted me to see the plant shipping boxes they had made (with the logo I made for them), and just wanted to say “Thanks!” Awesome!
Then, a few minutes later I got the second one (by USPS Priority Mail). It was the new rear derailleur hanger for my mid-90s GT Pantera, that broke on my last ride. Thankfully there’s a company still making these things! On-line shopping is SO COOL!
Right on the heels of that package came the third delivery. It was a personal delivery from a friend that has chickens! Very nice!
