A sign of good things!

Here’s Ian from Sign-On installing the new sign this morning!

Ooo… great location! (Is that Coffee Cottage right across the street?)

Here’s Deanne! Poor girl, the sun was directly in her eyes, and all the people in the cars going by were watching, but hey, it was a special moment to capture!

Fun with large orange vegetables

Here are some shots from our Saturday night pumkin carvin’ party. Thanks to Deanne for the pictures!

Deanne starts something new!

You may not have noticed the new “Comfort Counseling” link over in my “Favorite Sites” list, but something new is slowly coming to life, here in the Comfort household. Over the past few weeks Deanne has been in the process of starting her own private practice!

Finding job opportunities that fit her current needs has been proving difficult, if not impossible. Something not in Portland, and not full-time… So, feeling like she needed to DO SOMETHING, she began to do some dreaming and investigating. The two of us began looking into the requirements of starting a small business: incorporation, insurance, promotion, web site, printing, signage, etc.

Then a really good opportunity came about when our friend Tim Hyatt offered to sub-lease an office in his Northwest Integrative Health Center, a Naturopathic medical practice here in Newberg. So she decided to go for it!

We realize it is going to take some time to get going, but the start-up things are gradually coming together. This week the sign should be up on the corner of Hancock and Meridian Streets and the word will be out!

Here’s a screen shot from Deanne’s Homepage. I couldn’t be more proud of her efforts!
