Update update

Woo-hoo!

I successfully updated my WordPress software to 2.6.1. It isn’t really too big of a deal (unless you have customized the CSS—which I have). Then the 3-step process becomes a 13-step process!

I waited about a month after the last update came out, just to make sure all the bugs were worked out. Well, the next day after I updated… 2.6.2 was released!

I think I’ll wait a while before going through that again…

Mutual Pursuit

Sunday at our church barbeque I met (and flipped burgers with!) two different people who have found Christ in a very real way after years of seeking. Their stories were way different from mine, but their perspectives on what is important in life were so refreshing! It reminded me that God does not abandon us when we wander, but He actively looks for us as well! There are several stories that Jesus told that illustrate this truth — the Parable of the Lost Sheep in Luke 15 being the most memorable to me.

Thoughts on this topic brought me back to an image I created last year.  The gray and black figures represent us as we pursue God (click on the image above).

What we do not always notice is that God is near and is pursuing us at the same time. The white figures represent God pursuing us (click on the image below).

Inen Goes Visiting

Brandon (my ex-occupational partner), and his wife, Korie, brought their little boy, Inen, in to visit us Vineyard Graphics this afternoon! What a cute little guy. He did some of the typical baby stuff like fuss and turn red (once), and hiccup (once), but mostly he sat and looked very pleasant…

It was nice to see his parents too, of course.
