We went to the Demolition Derby and Monster Truck Show at the Yamhill County Fair last weekend. It was fun too! I had never seen monster trucks driving like they did… They jumped, bounced, and skidded way more than I ever expected. It was cool to see that much power launching all that metal and rubber into the air. The Rock Star (white truck pictured below) was going all-out—even tore his fiberglass shell. At one point he broke his steering and not all four wheels were headed in the same direction, but he got it fixed and he came back out again.
There was supposed to be dirt bike jumping also, but by the time they got the ramps built, it was too dark and the 2 bikers smartly said, “No way!” When they announced there would be no jumps, there were a LOT of ‘boo’s, but it was definitely the right call.

I enjoy these, too! We got our ears blown away by the demo derby at the State Fair a couple years back. Guess I’m a redneck as well.
