Sev­eral years ago, my Grandma Ruth bought a used wheel­chair, “in case she needed it some­day.” We agreed to store it for her in our garage until she needed it. We’ll—most of the time it was in the garage! Some­times the kids would take it out for fun, like seeing how fast they could go, or trying to get sym­pa­thy from pass­ing motorists.
